Chaudhary Group, the multinational Nepalese business conglomerate, which has a widespread presence among FMCG, hotels and resorts, realty, financial services, cement, energy and infrastructure, electronics, education, etc, has announced its entry into the Nepalese electric vehicle segment with the introduction of ‘Neta V’ electric crossover. The Neta V subcompact CUV is priced at Rs 37.99 Lakhs in the Nepalese market.
Commenting on this new venture, Nirvana Chaudhary, MD- CG Motors, said, “Electric mobility presents an attractive option to reduce the national trade deficit and foster long-term domestic sustainable energy solutions. So, we are intending to embrace sustainable mobility in both private and commercial sectors in the Nepali market”.
Neta is an EV brand owned by Hozon Auto. Hozon Auto is a rapidly growing Chinese all-electric car marque. The Neta V which was first launched in 2020 has already managed to garner a good response in the Chinese market.
The Neta V which gets a battery pack of 38.5 kWh delivers a power output of 70 kW and 160 Nm of torque. The subcompact electric crossover provides a range of 380 km on one full charge as per the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Talking about the features list, the Neta V comes loaded with HEPA N95 Grade Air Filter, Zero Button Dashboard, a 14.6-inch centre control touchscreen system, automatic headlights, and Vehicle-to-load (V2L) external discharge function, among many others. The Neta V is available in five exterior colour options: Silver Cloud White, Clear Sky Grey, Porcelain Cyan, Sky Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink.
CG Motors is offering a warranty period of 8 years/150000 km on the battery pack. The vehicle motor also gets the same warranty period, whereas in other non-moveable exterior parts a 10-years/200000 km warranty has been provided. The company is also providing a 6.6 kW home charger and one-year comprehensive insurance for free on the purchase of Neta V. CG Motors plans to build a state-of-the-art workshop for its customers and intends to establish charging networks on all the major highways.
CG Motors also plans to introduce the Neta S and Neta U Pro next year.
